The boy was struck around 6:48 p.m. while jogging west on Swegle Road Northeast near Cordon Road Northeast, the Sheriff's Office said. At the time of the collision, it was raining heavily and dark out; the runner was wearing all black with no reflective gear, the Sheriff's Office said.
