Comment on Jury weighs evidence in Brockton witness slay case

BROCKTON — A jury is scheduled to continue deliberating in the murder trial of a Brockton man charged with gunning down a witness in another homicide case.Jurors in Brockton Superior Court are expected to continue deliberations Friday after starting Wednesday.The Enterprise reports that Joao Fernandes is facing murder and gun charges in connection with the February 2010 shooting death of Manuel Rodrigues, who was shot six times on the porch of his girlfriend's home as he headed to work.
