Too many mistakes across the board foiled Evans’ hopes of staying in the Region 2-AAAAA race Friday night. Jones County entered on a two-game losing streak. Trailing 10-7, the Greyhounds scored 24 unanswered second-quarter points, breaking the game open en route to a 51-24 win.
