Every year a Bristol police officer who died during a domestic dispute is remembered when a law enforcement officer from Sullivan County receives an award for exceptional work regarding domestic violence cases. This year's winner of the Mark Vance award was Bristol police officer Travis Womer. He was presented the award during a domestic violence conference at Bristol Regional Medical Center. "It was a great honor to know I was going to receive this award," Womer said.
