College basketball results and news, Nov. 24

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Brandon Ashley each scored 15 points, helping No. 3 Arizona wear down Missouri for a 72-53 victory in the opening round the Maui Invitational in Lahaina, Hawaii, on Monday. Arizona (4-0) has struggled shooting from the perimeter this season and had another rough day from behind the arc, finishing 5 of 16 from three-point range. The Wildcats made up for it on defense, holding Missouri (2-2) to 36 percent shooting and scoring 24 points off the Tigers’ 17 turnovers. Marcus Foster scored 24 points as the Wildcats (3-1) defeated the Boilermakers (3-1) in the Maui Invitational. Brad Waldow tied his career high with 28 points and hit the tying and go-ahead foul shots with 16 seconds left as the Gaels (4-0) beat the Anteaters (2-2) at McKeon Pavilion. Reshanda Gray had 28 points to lead four players in double-figure scoring as the Bears (4-0) beat the Tigers (3-1) at the Rainbow Wahine Classic in Honolulu. After three convincining victories last week, Kentucky maintained its spot atop the Associated Press top-25 poll. The Wildcats earned 62 of 65 first-place votes from the media panel.
