3 meetings set on planned central Ill. power line

MARTINSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — A Texas company will hold public meetings in central Illinois next week to talk about a proposed electric transmission line that could affect land owners in Clark, Cumberland and Shelby counties. The Mattoon Journal-Gazette reports that (http://bit.ly/1xZMkXv ) Houston-based Clean Line Energy is developing a 750-mile overhead, direct-current transmission line to deliver wind power from Kansas to Illinois and other states. The company plans two meetings Monday — at 7 a.m.
