Comment on Alleged Rand shooter charged with murder after victim's death

Staff reports A man arrested for shooting another man in Rand was charged with murder on Thursday after the victim died.Leonard Thomas, 44, was charged with malicious wounding in the shooting of George Maxwell on Wednesday.Maxwell was declared "legally deceased" at 11:26 p.m. on Wednesday as a result of a gunshot wound in the head, according to an updated criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.Thomas will be held without bond, said Magistrate Pete Lopez.
