Comment on Salt Lake City Mission gives away food boxes, seeks help for the poor

The Salt Lake City Mission on Saturday distributed Christmas food boxes to help Utahns in need this holiday season. “We are trying to make sure no one goes hungry on Christmas,” said Pastor Joe Vazquez, assistant director at the local mission for the homeless and poor. In the coming weeks, the mission will also be hosting a Community Christmas Meal and a New Year’s Day Community Meal for the homeless. It is seeking donations from the public, monetary and otherwise, to help with its goal.
