Daily Journal A Lee County Sheriff’s deputy was injured when a vehicle struck him Saturday night. The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 11 p.m. An MHP spokesman said that while deputies were conducting a roadside safety checkpoint on Highway 371 near Mooreville, it appears a vehicle driven by Audonus D.
