Comment on Prospect Park woman sentenced in $44,000 swindle

MEDIA COURTHOUSE >> A Prospect Park woman who pleaded guilty this month to charges of theft and access device fraud for swindling an 86-year-old man out of more than $44,000 was sentenced Dec. 16 to time served to 23 months with seven years of consecutive probation.Sylvia Ristick, 45, has already paid $10,000 in restitution to the elderly victim, according to attorneys, and will have to continue making payments of $600 a month until the remaining $34,000 is paid off, under the order imposed by Judge Anthony Scanlon.
