MIDDLETOWN – Inside the Guild of St. Margaret Soup Kitchen at the Grace Episcopal Church in Middletown, the kitchen and halls were buzzing.Cynthia Franchio, who has organized these holiday dinners for the past nine years, gave the 40-plus volunteers a last-minute briefing.In a side room, Santa and Mrs. Claus – known the other days of the year as life partners Barry Zukose and Barbara Masi – readied the toy giveaway for the children.
