A patient who was hospitalized at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento with symptoms of Ebola has tested negative for the virus, the California Department of Public Health said Friday. The patient had symptoms consistent with Ebola and had recently traveled to a West African country at the center of the ongoing Ebola outbreak, health officials said in a statement. UC Davis Medical Center is a “priority hospital” for assessing and treating potential Ebola patients.
