Don’t let the title mislead you — there are actually minimal secrets and lies in this incoming ABC series, debuting Sunday night, at least in the pilot. But that’s because the episode is too busy setting up the twists and turns to come. If the big reveal at the end of the first installment is any indication, there will be plenty of both in the subsequent nine episodes. But let’s back up, shall we? Secrets and Lies, a 10-episode American remake of a six-episode Australian original, is another crime anthology series that at the outset reveals a small boy has been found murdered, and the remaining episodes are then spent trying to figure out who did the actual crime.
