Comment on Richmond mayor is set to step down as state Democratic Party chairman

RICHMOND — Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones is stepping down as state Democratic Party chairman, less than a year after taking the post.Jones will announce his departure this weekend, when party officials gather in Henrico County for their quarterly meeting, party spokeswoman Morgan Finkelstein confirmed on Wednesday.
