A representative of a Dallas area-based charter school with a campus in Beaumont will walk through the former Al Price Juvenile Correctional Facility this week to see whether it would be suitable for consolidating the school's current local operations as well as growing to serve at-risk students. If the move takes place, it would eliminate the possibility of the Al Price unit becoming a new home for violent sexual offenders who have completed their prison sentences but still are under state civil commitment.
