Threats to Colorado Springs high school put police on alert

BY KASSONDRA CLOOS kassondra.cloos@gazette.com -Police headed to Sierra High School Tuesday afternoon because of unspecified threats to the school, Colorado Springs police confirmed around 1 p.m. The school went on lockout status because of threats from students at another school, according to Lt. Patricia Feese, who is in charge of student resource officers in the city.Feese did not know what specific threats were made, or where they came from, but said the violent threats stemmed from a weekend brawl at the Wright's Amusements Giant Carnival at Powers and Palmer Park boulevards.The Saturday night fight involved more than 150 people, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, and three teens were arrested.Sierra High School had some issues on Monday
