A woman was slashed in the arm Thursday afternoon while someone tried to snatch her purse in Fremont, police reports say. Reports indicate she was walking north on Troll Avenue North near North 35th Street about 4:35 p.m. when a man approached her from behind on her left and tried to grab her purse.
