MARPLE >> During a trip to Europe, Claude de Botton saw a large, tilted tree stump with expansive roots that helped it remain standing. He would like to re-create the image as part of the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association. Speaking Wednesday night to the honor guard of the Marple Newtown Combined Veterans Alliance, de Botton, who donated the land on which the memorial was constructed and has been integral in its development, outlined his dream for the Hall of Prayers.
