Google has officially revealed Jump, an open-source VR platform that includes plans for a 16-camera array capable of filming 360-degree, three-dimensional pictures and video. Clay Bavor, the creator of Google Cardboard and a vice president of product management at the company, announced the new platform at Google I/O Thursday. Here's how he described it:It’s about capturing and sharing these real-world experiences, like the great wall, the coral reef, in an entirely new way, one that looks and feels like you’re actually there.
