NEW PALTZ – A man from Rensselaer County was charged with several felony-level counts of possession of a controlled substance after a car in which he was a passenger was stopped by state police on the Thruway near New Paltz.The arrest happened on Friday but was not reported until Tuesday.Police said after stopping the vehicle for a traffic infraction at 1:12 a.m.
