With Speights back, what’s next for the Warriors in free agency?

The Warriors on Monday exercised their $3.8 million option to keep reserve forward/center Marreese Speights for the 2015-16 season - one of the team’s final paperwork moves before the NBA’s free-agency period commences at 9 p.m. Tuesday. [...] butting up against the projected salary-cap apron of $85 million, the Warriors aren’t expected to be major players for a free-agent class that includes All-Stars LeBron James, Marc Gasol, LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love, Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade and Paul Millsap. [...] the Warriors’ top priorities are re-upping with restricted free-agent power forward Draymond Green and maintaining continuity on a team that improved three straight seasons en route to the 2015 championship. Extending qualifying offers would make the players restricted free agents - meaning the Warriors could match any opponent’s offer sheet - or the players could accept the one-year tenders. Since Green is expected to get a raise of more than 10 times his current salary, the Warriors will continue to listen to offers for backup power forward David Lee and the nearly $15.5 million he’s owed next season. The most consistent reserve scorer from 2014-15, appeared in 76 regular-season games (nine starts), averaging a career-high 10.4 points along with 4.3 rebounds in 15.9 minutes per contest.
