A Katy man has pleaded guilty to a federal hate crime in a 2013 case where a black man was attacked and his face and jaw broken, the incident recorded as part of a "knockout" video. Prosecutors said 29-year-old man cruised a parking lot at a Fulshear Mall to look for someone to harm when he saw and attacked a 79-year-old black man.
