WORCESTER, Mass. — Gardner's fire chief remains hospitalized in Worcester from injuries sustained fighting a house fire.The Telegram & Gazette reports Chief Richard Ares is reported in stable condition Saturday at UMass Memorial Medical Center with a concussion and a back injury. Officials have said his injuries are not life-threatening.
