Mistral AI has confirmed the launch of Codestral, its first LLM designed to assist developers write code.  The Amazon-backed French company is known for its Mistral and Mixtral language models, but Codestral appears set to raise the bar higher. Bankruptcy Judge John K. Sherwood on Thursday said he’d approve the co-working company’s restructuring plan, clearing WeWork’s path to exiting bankruptcy under the ownership of its senior lenders. “It’s been a little more than six months but it’s felt like a lifetime,” company attorney Steven Serajeddini said, referring to tough negotiations and various disputes WeWork navigated since it filed bankruptcy last year. In the coming days, the company plans to execute all the financial contracts needed to fund the reorganization, attorney Ciara Foster told Sherwood. The move marks WeWork’s final break with Neumann, who unsuccessfully made a last-minute bid to restructure the company under an alternate plan that was rejected by the company’s current managers and lenders. Call of Duty publisher Activision has won a $14.5 million civil lawsuit judgment in the United States against EngineOwning, a maker of cheat software. Germany-based EngineOwning has openly admitted to developing and promoting cheat software that manipulates the game mechanics in the Call of Duty series published by Activision Blizzard. The cheat developers dispute the final judgment, calling it “bogus.” The legal battle between Activision and EngineOwning began in 2022 when Activision filed a complaint that specifically targeted EngineOwning and asked a judge to stop its operations: “Activision is the owner and publisher of the Call of Duty series of video games (the “COD Games”).
