There is exactly one privately operated prison in Pennsylvania. It just happens to be located right here in Delaware County.It's been 20 years since Delaware County Council embarked on a new path when it comes to incarceration, hiring Wackenhut Corrections Corp. to operate the aging Delaware County Prison in Concord.
