DuPont's Sabine River Works is investing $100 million in a plant expansion that began last year and wants to qualify for a state incentive program that could recoup up to $1.25 million. The Orange City Council today will consider endorsing the effort that could help preserve DuPont's full-time employment of 900 people and 500 outside contractors as well as boosting its competitive edge, said Jay Trahan, Orange's economic development director.
