Severe weather including hail and lightning is moving into southern Maine and the Portland region, according to the National Weather Service office in Gray. Meteorologist Stacie Hanes said her office has already received reports of golf-ball-sized hail falling in parts of York County. There have also been reports of lightning, strong winds, and torrential rains. Those storms are currently moving into the Portland area from the west, Hanes said.
