MSP airport officials predict boom in traffic; 'No way,' replies critic

Even though Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport has seen a decline in passengers over the past decade, planners say they need to expect an extra 22 million people per year by 2035. But where would they come from? That's the key question posed by a Star Tribune report on the Metropolitan Airports Commission's latest long-term plan, which predicts a 68 increase in passengers using MSP airport over the next 20 years.
