Morning 5: Marvel Comics titles that didn't last

Marvel Comics began publishing comic books on Aug. 31, 1939. Its first title was called, logically enough, “Marvel Comics #1,” which featured a character called The Human Torch. Oddly, that character had no relation to another Marvel Comics character named The Human Torch, which began life with The Fantastic Four in 1961.
