After more than an hour of private settlement talks that included suspended Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and two surprise participants, Judge Richard M. Berman announced shortly after 11 a.m. in open court that there would be no settlement in the DeflateGate controversy.
