Comment on Tip leads officials to student with gun on Putnam City campus

FROM STAFF REPORTSWARR ACRES — A student at Putnam City High School was arrested Thursday after parents tipped off school officials that he was in possession of a gun on campus, according to the school district. Two parents called anonymously on Thursday morning and told school officials the name of a student they said was carrying a weapon, said Steve Lindley, spokesman for the Putnam City School District. The student, a junior, was approached by authorities, and he took them to a handgun concealed in a backpack.
