Will Tim Lincecum return to Giants in 2016?

Will Tim Lincecum return to Giants in 2016? DENVER - The baseball future is up in the air for one of the most popular players in Giants history after Tim Lincecum underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left hip Thursday morning. Lincecum’s season is over, and his two-year contract is expiring, making him a free agent after the season. Trainer Dave Groeschner said the pitcher will need a five-month rehab and that he should be ready for spring training. The doctor who performed the surgery, Marc Philippon, said he expects Lincecum to pitch in the majors next year. The Giants’ other starting pitchers who can be free agents include Mike Leake, Tim Hudson and Ryan Vogelsong.
