Comment on Aiken snaps region losing streak with three-overtime victory

AIKEN — After nearly four years, Aiken didn’t mind working a little bit extra Friday night to break its long streak of region losses. It took three overtime periods, but the Hornets did just that with a 27-21 victory over Brookland-Cayce at Hagood Stadium. Aiken had gone winless in region play each of the past three seasons, a streak of 15 games dating back to the victory over South Aiken in the 2011 season finale. read more
