About 90 minutes before the Warriors’ exhibition opener Monday night, interim head coach Luke Walton admitted that he was nervous, but he seemed to have a pretty solid game plan. Walton, who is filling in while head coach Steve Kerr recovers from two offseason back surgeries, said he’ll start the Warriors’ usual starting five (Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut). [...] the Warriors will focus on some intriguing combinations, like getting a chance to see forward James Michael McAdoo play the pick-and-roll game with Curry as well as in the typically slower-paced style of the second unit. Walton got plenty of advice from his Hall of Fame father, Bill, who suggested he call about six coaches and read about seven John Wooden books before making his coaching debut.
