This week, a string of lone wolf stabbing attacks by Palestinians against Israeli soldiers and civilians and deadly clashes in the West Bank and on the border of the Gaza Strip sparked concern among Israelis that a third Palestinian Intifada, or uprising, was looming. Meanwhile a series of car bombs in Iraq killed dozens and Lebanese protestors continued to clash with police and pressure their government for sweeping reforms.
