Royal Oak police are getting ready to show interested residents the ins and outs of everything from crime investigations to SWAT team work .Starting April 6, the department is offering a seven-week Citizens Police Academy that will meet for three hours starting at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday.Police Chief Corrigan O'Donohue said the course gives residents a chance to see how police operations work.
