Resort agrees to settle lawsuit over immigrant workers

DENVER — Vail Run Resort and its management company have agreed to pay eight Mexican workers $1 million after a manager was accused of sexually harassing women and firing workers who complained. The company also agreed to hire a monitor for five years to ensure the settlement is enforced. The Denver Post reports (http://tinyurl.com/jphtsjc ) the company agreed to publish its employment handbook in English and Spanish and to train managers about employment laws. The company did not admit wrongdoing in the settlement agreement filed in federal court and did not return a phone call Saturday seeking comment. Read more on Colorado Springs Gazette
