Technical school leader, graduates receive awards at state Capitol

By Bill Kramer For The OklahomanYUKON — Two recent graduates and an administrator at Canadian Valley Technology Center received awards during Making It Work Day at the state Capitol. Canadian Valley's Deputy Superintendent Gayla Lutts was presented the Outstanding Leadership Award by the Oklahoma Career and Technical Educators Equity Council. Recent graduates Crystal Malicoat, of Chickasha, and Jennifer Wilcox, of Yukon, were recognized with Non-Traditional Student Awards. The event recognizes people who are committed to removing barriers to success for single-parent families by providing educational experiences beyond the classroom. The equity council is affiliated with the administrative division of the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education.Read more on NewsOK.com
