Rescue workers transported a man to a hospital in life-threatening condition Wednesday after he was hit by a vehicle near the Five Points area of Jacksonville while crossing the road in a motorized wheelchair, police said. Police said the man was not in a crosswalk when he was hit by a Honda about 12:30 p.m.
