6A golf: Tupelo eight strokes back

By Larry Hilliard Special to the Journal MADISON – It will take a strong performance today for Tupelo to win its first MHSAA 6A boys golf championship since 2013. The Golden Wave is fourth, eight strokes off the lead, after the first of two rounds at the 6,835-yard, par 72 Lake Caroline Golf Course. “We are going to have to make a lot of birdies,” said Tupelo coach Sherry Rial.
