COLUMBIA — Authorities say the director of recreation in Richland County has been charged with several drug trafficking offenses. Richland County deputies told media outlets that 38-year-old James Anthony Brown was arrested Friday at a home near an elementary school in the northeast part of the county. Investigators say he had more than 10 pounds of marijuana along with nearly a pound of methamphetamines and ecstasy.
