Two Northeast Mississippi natives place in top 5 of Miss Mississippi

HARRINGTON MAY VICKSBURG – Molly May, a Houston native and Miss Amory, and Holly Harrington, a Tupelo native and Miss Tombigbee, placed third and fourth respectively in Miss Mississippi 2016 on Saturday night. The two Northeast Mississippi women competed against 42 other Mississippians for the coveted title. Laura Lee Lewis, a Brookhaven native and Miss Riverland, was crowned Miss Mississippi 2016 and will advance to the Miss America pageant. May and Harrington advanced to the top five portion of the competition Saturday and answered questions on stage before the finalists were selected and announced. This marked May’s second year of competition in Miss Mississippi.
