A woman in her 40s was struck and killed by an Amtrak train after trespassing on tracks in San Leandro Friday evening, officials said. Train 543, a Capital Corridor train that travels between Sacramento and San Jose, hit the woman on tracks near Washington Avenue around 6 p.m., said Amtrak spokeswoman Chelsea Kopta.
