The Los Angeles Rams released Nick Foles on Wednesday after failing to find a trade destination for the disgruntled quarterback. Foles made the Pro Bowl with the Eagles in 2013, throwing 27 touchdown passes with just two interceptions in his second NFL season. Kansas City placed running back Jamaal Charles on the physically unable to perform list, though head coach Andy Reid said it should not be considered a setback in his return from a knee injury. Baltimore have reached an agreement with offensive lineman Jake Long on a one-year contract, pending the condition of his oft-injured right knee.
