Pilot was warned not to fly into Pagosa Springs before crash that killed 2, NTSB says

The pilot of a single-engine plane that crashed in southern Colorado was warned not to fly into Pagosa Springs because of winter weather before a 2014 crash near the town that killed him and a woman on board. The revelations were made public this week in a “factual” report by the National Transportation Safety Board that says the pilot disregarded the message from an airport operator. “The pilot stated he was ‘a professional pilot’ and that he would be flying into (Archuleta County airport) that day,” the report says. The November 2014 crash killed Howard F.
