Parts of northwestern El Paso County could be at risk for moderate flooding on Monday, according to the Colorado Water Conservation Board. The area is under the threat from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. "Urban areas and burn scars, such as the Waldo Canyon and Hayden Pass fire burn scars, will need to be monitored closely," the board's flood threat bulletin states. The bulletin also notes that higher terrain south of Interstate 70 - including the Palmer Ridge and Raton Ridge - could have "the best coverage of storms," forecast to roll through the state Monday.
