President Obama will be following the lead of J.J. Abrams, Bill Gates and Serena Williams by guest editing an issue of Wired magazine this November. The first time a magazine has ever been guest edited by a sitting president, Obama’s Wired issue will focus on the theme of frontiers. A statement on the Wired website explains that the president “wants to focus on the future – on the next hurdles that humanity will need to overcome to move forward,” including personal, national and international frontiers ranging from precision medicine to space travel. “We want to wrestle with the idea of how today’s technology can influence political leadership,” Wired‘s Editor In Chief Scott Dadich wrote on the site.
