A federal magistrate judge has allowed Calvin Walker's attorney to withdraw as counsel in his conspiracy and defamation lawsuit and ordered the former Beaumont ISD contract electrician to hire new legal representation by Oct. 26. Maria-Vittoria Carminati, who represented Walker and former BISD employee Jessie Haynes in the lawsuit, cited several grounds in her request to withdraw, including a business move to Colorado and an increasingly hostile relationship with her former clients, according to court documents.
