Comment on Judge dismisses lesser charges in trial of former Hackensack High football star

Judge Adam E. Jacobs dismissed the second count of an indictment, a charge of leaving an endangered victim, after the state rested its case this morning. The judge found that the state had not provided sufficient evidence that Walcott “knowingly” left the victim, unconscious and on the ground after punching him outside The Gentlemen’s Palace go-go bar in Passaic three years ago.
