Newall: Once-disappointed kid returns to Philly to bring the Revolution to life

Philip Mead first visited Philadelphia as a 13-year-old Revolutionary War buff, a precocious kid who'd go on to study under the some of the preeminent historians of the era. Already he'd hiked the Freedom Trail in Boston, traversed the fields at Yorktown and made pilgrimages to countless other Revolutionary hot spots.
